01Our story
Five families.
One calling.
December 2006
Following God's leading, Living Stones Baptist Church is established in Plymouth by five families.
Sunday, 3 December 2006
The church holds its first service at Pilgrim Primary School.
Today
The church meets at Catherine Street Baptist Church in Plymouth city centre.

One family in Christ.
We are a vibrant, growing and multicultural Christian community within the Baptist network. People from many backgrounds and nations worship together here as one family.
We are Christ-centred and Bible-believing, committed to worship, discipleship, prayer, evangelism and serving our neighbours in Plymouth.
03What Living Stones means
As living stones,
a spiritual house.
"As you come to him, the living Stone — rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him — you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
Jesus Christ is the living Stone — the chosen and precious cornerstone. Everyone who comes to Him receives new life and becomes a living stone too.
No stone stands alone. God places each believer alongside others, building us together into a spiritual house where He is worshipped and His glory is revealed.

Pastor James
Hercule Mikubu
Senior Pastor · Living Stones Baptist Church
Pastor James Hercule Mikubu is the Senior Pastor of Living Stones Baptist Church, Plymouth.
Before entering full-time ministry, he worked professionally as a mechanical engineer, a lecturer and a contractor. In 1993 he responded to God's call into ministry.
From 1993 to 2005 he served at CBCO Bandal 1 in Kinshasa. He then moved to the United Kingdom, where he continued his ministry.
His wife, Joelle, serves alongside him. Together they have four grown-up sons, who also serve God.
